Rutendo popularly known as (rlt__) took to her instagram page to share a new face mask. Read below :
So I was supposed to make a honey, yoghurt & oats mask but I didn’t have oats and couldn’t be bothered to walk to Tesco so I had to improvise. I don’t if it’s me but this one kinda looks disgusting & I wasn’t too fond of the smell either but damnnnnnnnnnn did it CLEAN MY SKIN!!! 😩😍 Instead of using oats I use flour (self raising... I don’t think it matter which one)
I’ll tell you the benefits of these ingredients.
Today I was supposed to exfoliate my skin & that’s the purpose of oats. Oats are also good for absorbing any unwanted oils. I figured oats and flour are both made from gains so it should have the same benefits so I replaced the oats with flour.
Benefits of yoghurt: - Yogurt is a great skin exfoliant
- Destroys the bacteria that cause acne and pimples. Zinc in yogurt reduces skin inflammation and reduces the amount of oil produced by the sebaceous glands. (Sebum)
Benefits of honey: - Acne: Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it's great for acne treatment and prevention.
- Complexion boost: It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow.
- Pores: Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.
Benefits of flour: - Reduces oiliness
- Moisturises the skin
Last time I forgot to put measurements 🙈
1 tablespoon of Natural yoghurt
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of flour
I usually add more flour so that the consistency isn’t too runny because it needs to stick to the face and not drip off.
Leave on for 15-20 minutes.
This mask will work for both oily and dry skin.
Let me know if it works for you! 😄💛💛
